In October 2024, Strider Technologies, a Utah-based intelligence leader, expanded its global presence by opening a new office in Japan. This significant milestone was cemented during the governor’s recent trade mission, in which 20 companies traveled overseas to build international relationships.
Initially founded in 2019, Strider has since grown to operate in 10 countries and employs over 180 team members. The tech firm uses advanced artificial intelligence alongside proprietary methods to transform publicly available data into strategic solutions.
Strider’s co-founders — Greg Levesque, Eric Levesque, and Mike Brown — each provided a unique combination of expertise to the company. Strider CEO Greg brought skills in strategic intelligence, COO Eric, an experienced technology investor, and Chief Technology Officer Mike, a former CTO for several tech companies. Working together, they identified a gap in the market for data-driven risk management solutions.
Brothers Greg and Eric introduced another skill set to the company in the form of foreign languages. While working in Washington, D.C., Greg used his fluency in Mandarin for industry-related issues with China, while Eric speaks fluent Russian and worked for the Oman Investment Authority.
Since the company’s inception, Strider’s services have helped organizations address risks related to intellectual property theft, targeted talent acquisition, and supply chain vulnerabilities, ultimately empowering clients to secure and advance their innovations.
In tandem with the recent expansion, the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity awarded Strider with a post-performance tax incentive. Offered as part of the Economic Development Tax Increment Financing program, the incentive shows Utah’s broader efforts to support high-growth technology companies that drive economic development and innovation.
As it continues to expand its operations and refine its services, Strider Technologies exemplifies the forward-thinking spirit of Utah’s tech sector, cementing its role as a global leader in strategic intelligence.
Companies interested in joining a future trade mission can visit World Trade Center Utah, where the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) grant is available to support companies looking to expand internationally.
