VirtuSpect Brings Efficiency and Accuracy to the Inspection Process

July 3, 2025

In a world where inspections are often slow, manual, and riddled with inefficiencies, one Utah startup is flipping the script. Founded in 2024, VirtuSpect is a cutting-edge platform designed to automate and streamline inspections across industries, from financial services to health care.

Now, with a single, user-friendly dashboard, VirtuSpect is proving that better inspections can power better decisions with advanced, user-friendly solutions.

The idea was sparked when co-founder Cameron Cope encountered an issue during his time running a successful appraisal and inspection business that many in the industry face: inspections are manual, fragmented, and difficult to scale.

“After digging deeper, it became clear this challenge wasn’t unique to Cam’s business,” said Tim Harris, VituSpect’s other co-founder. “It was a widespread operational bottleneck across industries.”

Once the duo identified the problem, they decided to create a product that could solve the issue not just for them, but for the industry as a whole. With Cope’s domain expertise and Harris’ experience leading tech companies, they introduced VirtuSpect to the market.

“We started with financial services, where compliance and speed are critical,” Harris said. “We’re now expanding to support inspections across hospitality, health care, logistics, and beyond.”

Their dream of helping others streamline their inspections became a reality when they secured their first customer, Celtic Bank, in the fall of 2024. Since acquiring the service, Celtic has completed over 700 SBA loan inspections, showcasing the might of the product.

When it comes to the support they’ve received, Harris said, “Our families have been instrumental in our journey, and our loyal team has worked tirelessly to develop the platform and bring it to market.” He also emphasized the extraordinary insight he’s gathered from their board of advisors.

For other founders, Harris advises solving “a real problem, one you or someone close to you has experienced firsthand,” and building the product with the end-user in mind from day one.

Harris also reflected on Utah’s role in his journey: “The quality of life here is exceptional with its mountains, national parks, and a strong sense of community. Being here has shaped how I think about building companies: practical and value-driven.”
